The Empire’s ship then pulls the Rebel ship into it and Darth Vader boards the vessel and a phasor fight between the Storm Troopers and the Rebels ensues. Elsewhere on the ship Princess Leia is seen handing a small disk to R2-D2 who then flees the vessel wtih C-3PO in an escape pod while the Storm Troopers search the vessel for Death Star plans and capture Leia in the process.
  • The escape pod lands on is a desert planet by the name of Tatooine and once on the surface C-3PO and R2-D2 split up, frustrated with each other. Sometime later that day both droids are disabled by Jawas and taken to their huge land trading vehicle to be sold. The vehicle is full of all manner of droids of various shapes and sizes and C-3PO and R2-D2 reunite once they have both come back online. Elsewhere on the planet, Storm Troopers are combing the desert for any sign of who or what came down in the escape pod.
  • R2-D2 and C-3PO are bought by Luke and his Uncle Owen. When cleaning them up Luke accidentally causes R2-D2 to display part of a hologram of Princess Leia asking for help from Obi-Wan Kenobi. R2-D2 pretends not to know a lot about the hologram, seemingly hiding his true intentions and gets Luke to remove a restraint device put on his by the Jawas. At Dinner Luke discusses leaving the farm with his Uncle Ben and is told that he has to stay on the farm for one more season. Once Luke leaves, his Aunt makes a comment about him not being a farmer because he has too much of his father in him After dinner, Luke goes to check on the droids and R2-D2 has run away and Luke goes to look for him in the morning with C-3PO.
  • Luke and C-3PO find R2-D2 fairly fast by using the radar on his landspeeder. Immediately afterwards they are ambushed by Sand People. Luke is hit on the back of the head, falling unconscious. To his rescue comes an old man, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who scares off the Sand People. The four of them then escape in Luke’s landspeeder to a hideaway owned by Obi-Wan.
  • In the hideaway Luke works on repairing C-3PO while Obi-Wan tells Luke that his father was actually a Jedi who fought alongside him. Obi-Wan gives Luke his father’s lightsaber and tells him about the force, a magical ability that flows throughout the galaxy. At this time R2-D2 reveals to Obi-Wan his message from Princess Leia where he is told that there are plans for a great weapon from the Empire called the Death Star inside of the droid. She then beseeches him to deliver the droid to the Rebels and help to secure their victory. Obi-Wan tries to convince Luke to join him to deliver the message but he wants to stay and help his Uncle Ben.
  • Back on the with Darth Vader, a meeting is held of some high ranking officials in the Empire as they plan to crush the rebels with their new weapon.

  • After seeing the destruction of the farm, Luke agrees to join Obi-Wan and the four travel to Mos Eisley, a town inhabited by all manner of races, creatures, and droids, in his speeder. They are stopped by some Storm Troopers looking for the droids but Obi-Wan uses the force to convince them that “these are not the droids they are looking for.” They then enter the Cantina to look for a pilot and find Han Solo and Chewbacca a ship-for-hire duo that pilot the Millennium Falcon. In the bar, Luke accidentally rubs a patron the wrong way and Obi-Wan ends up killing the patron with his lightsaber. After some negotiations Han and Chewbacca agree to transport the four to Alderaan, promising to keep the trip a secret. Before leaving the bar, Han is held up by a mercenary Greedo who insists that he owes Jaba some money and he must pay up. Han shoots Greedo and leaves the bar, tipping the bartender.
  • To get Leia to talk, Darth Vader and the Empire set course to Alderaan for a “Demonstration”.
  • Back on Tatooine, Storm Troopers are seen searching the area for the droids again. Han meets Jaba by the Millennium Falcon and agrees to pay him a little extra with a little more time. Right after Obi-Wan, Luke, and the droids get on the ship, Storm Troopers burst into the hangar and start firing upon Han and the Millennium Falcon. They take off immediately and are pursued in orbit by two Imperial Cruisers. They escape into hyperspace and get away.
  • Admiral Tarkin and Vader have arrived at Alderaan with Leia. The threaten her with the destruction of the planet, her homeworld, if she doesn’t reveal the Rebel Base’s location. She gives up a name but the Empire still fires upon Alderaan ,destroying it completely.
  • Back on the Millenium Falcon, Obi-Wan mentions that he has felt a disturbance in the force as if millions of people just died. Luke is seen practicing his Lightsaber with a practice droid. To improve, an make him trust the Force, Obi-Wan puts a helmet on his head so he will be forced to “feel” the droid with the Force.
  • It is discovered that Leia has lied about the location of the rebel base and she is ordered to be killed.
  • The Millennium Falcon comes out of hyperspace at the location of Alderaan but it has been destroyed. They notice a small Imperial Fighter fly past them and they chase it to try and destroy it but before they get the chance they are caught in a tractor beam emanating from the Death Star which pulls them into the station. However, when the Empire searches the ship, they don’t find anything or anyone on board so they commission a scanning crew to double check just in case. Everyone on board has hidden inside a smuggler’s hatch and emerge once the Storm Troopers leave. They then knock out two of them and take their uniforms.
  • An officer tries to contact one of the Storm Troopers they knocked out and while he is distracted Han and Obi-Wan enter the supervisor’s box and knock him out, letting R2-D2 gain access to the ship’s computers via a “universal droid port.” R2-D2 discovers the location that is powering the tractor beam and Obi-Wan leaves to turn it off. Right after Obi-Wan leaves R2-D2 finds out that Princess Leia is on the Death Star and Luke convinces Han and Chewbacca to come with him to save her from the Detention level. They head down with Chewbacca disguised as a prisoner and take over the detention control booth, however they alert the rest of the space station in the process. Luke runs to the Leia’s cell and rescues her from her cell.
  • Darth Vader reports to Tarkin that Obi-Wan is on the Death Star, but does not believe him. Darth Vader goes to face him alone.
  • Storm Troopers break into the detention level and they are unable to escape. Luke calls up to C-3PO and tries to discover a way out but soon becomes distracted by some Storm Troopers at the door. The four down in the detention level escape into the garbage chute. They are trapped in the trash compactor which is impervious to blaster fire and contains some sort of snake-like creature. The creature tried to drown Luke but is thwarted by Han who fires his blaster into the water. Shortly after however the trash compactor turns on and starts to crush them. A call to C- 3PO and R2-D2 allows them to turn off the compactor through the use of the “universal droid port” and save Leia, Luke, Han, and Chewbacca.
  • While this is all taking place, Obi-Wan has been working to shut off the Tractor Beam on the ship. He is seen lowing some levers on the generator for the beam and escaping past some Storm Troopers.
  • The quartet runs across some Storm Troopers and Han runs after them to scare them off, which only leads to an ambush. Luke and Leia run out onto a dead end into a pit. Luke uses a grappling hook to swing across with Leia and escape back into the Main Hangar where they reunite with Han, Chewbacca, and the droids.
  • Obi-Wan and Darth Vader face off in a hallway adjacent to the hangar. When Obi-Wan sees Luke he calms and accepts his fate. Disappearing into nothing as Vader strikes him down. Luke and the others escape onto the Millennium Falcon as a firefight breaks out in the hangar, trying to stop them. While escaping, Han and Luke fight off some Imperial fighters as Chewbacca navigates them to safety and they take off into hyperspace, heading for the Rebel Base on Yavin IV. Unfortunately, the Imperials have secured a homing beacon on the ship and are tracking them.
  • Upon arrival, the Rebels analyze the information brought by R2-D2 to the Alliance and found a weak spot in the Death Star which, if hit, could destroy the station. However, Darth Vader and the Death Star have entered the space of Yavin IV and are planning to destroy it.
  • The Rebel Alliance takes to their ships but Han Solo and Chewbacca run away, refusing to take part. R2-D2 and Luke board a ship together and take off as C-3PO tells R2-D2 to come back so he won’t be bored. Leia and C-3PO move back to the control center to monitor the battle. The battle sees many losses and in the end Luke destroys the Death Star by exploiting the weakness with some assistance from Han Solo who enters the battle and cripples the ship that Darth Vader is using. Back on the planet Han, Chewbacca, and Luke receive a medal of accommodation from Princess Leia as the Rebels watch and salute.
